On May 11th, the "Xinmanjing NCMS’ Forum - Master Lecture Series" was launched at NCMS. Professor Zhu Meifang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dean of the New Materials Industry School at Donghua University, and Director of the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers, was invited as the keynote speaker.

With title of "Interdisciplinary Innovation Leading Materials Science", Academician Zhu Meifang provided a comprehensive overview of cutting-edge scientific and technological issues. Her lecture focused on three key dimensions:

"Education as the Foundation" – Emphasizing the cultivation of high-level interdisciplinary talent through cross-integration approaches.

"Materials Creation as the Innovation Driver" – Tracing the evolutionary history of fiber materials, while analyzing current research and application landscapes.

"Smart Materials as the Future" – Exploring the integration of emerging methodologies (e.g., artificial intelligence and big data) into materials science research.
